Jo Se-ho is currently making headlines with his return to Netflix's variety show 'Driver', approximately one year after his departure from tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block'. Having reduced his broadcast activities due to a controversy involving an acquaintance, Jo Se-ho has steadily appeared on 'Driver' since Season 4, paving his way back to the screen. His upcoming appearance in Season 6, featuring a bold transformation, is generating significant anticipation from viewers.
In the 9th episode of 'Driver' Season 6, subtitled 'Laws of Survival', the cast including Kim Sook, Hong Jin-kyung, Joo Woo-jae, and Jang Woo-young expressed their unique personalities around the theme of 'TGIF'. Jo Se-ho transformed into a drunken character with a tie around his head, performing ecstatic dances and immersing himself in breaking dance regardless of his surroundings. This unreserved comedic performance, a stark contrast to his calmer demeanor on 'You Quiz', has once again solidified his image as a variety show entertainer.
Local bloggers have praised Jo Se-ho's willingness to embrace slapstick comedy and physical gags on 'Driver', noting that his ability to fully commit to humorous situations demonstrates his innate talent as an entertainer. Viewers are reacting positively to his candid approach to sensitive topics, such as a direct mention of past controversies by fellow cast member Joo Woo-jae, seeing it as an honest attempt to move forward.
