Actress Jung So Min has confirmed her roles in two highly anticipated upcoming projects: the Netflix original series 'Dealer' and the tvN fantasy historical romance 'Haeoreumdal Yeorire'. This news has generated significant buzz among both domestic and international fans, as Jung So Min is set to showcase her versatile acting range across different genres.
In 'Dealer', a crime drama, Jung So Min will portray Jung Geon-hwa, an ace casino dealer who enters a dangerous gambling world to recover wedding funds lost to fraud. Hwang Dong-hyuk, known for 'Squid Game', is involved in the planning and production, with Ryu Seung-bum, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Ryu Kyung-soo also cast. 'Haeoreumdal Yeorire' is a fantasy historical romance where Jung So Min plays Heo Seol-hee, a Joseon-era woman who returns to the past to seek revenge after her family's destruction. Kim Yo-han and Joo Jong-hyuk are also cast, with Park Won-guk directing. This project won the Grand Prize at the 2nd KT Studio Genie Series Contest, promising a strong storyline.
Local bloggers have expressed positive anticipation for Jung So Min's return to historical dramas following 'Alchemy of Souls', particularly highlighting the robust original story of 'Haeoreumdal Yeorire'. There is also speculation that her recent all-black fashion at a Paris event might hint at her character in 'Dealer', further fueling interest in her diverse acting transformations across these varied genres.
