Actress Park Eun Bin is making her highly anticipated return to the big screen after four years with the film 'Nam Eun Jung'. Known for her distinct characters in 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' and 'Castaway Diva', Park Eun Bin will now portray a complex mother-daughter relationship alongside Yum Jung Ah. This role is noted for requiring subtle emotional acting, focusing on an ordinary daughter rather than a character defined by her profession.
KT Studio Genie, the distributor, confirmed on August 17th that Yum Jung Ah and Park Eun Bin have been cast as leads in 'Nam Eun Jung'. This marks Park Eun Bin's first film appearance since 'The Witch Part2. The Other One' in 2022. 'Nam Eun Jung' tells the story of mother Hyun Sook and youngest daughter Eun Jung, who have struggled to connect throughout their lives, as they resolve misunderstandings. Yum Jung Ah plays Kang Hyun Sook, a mother who raised three children alone, while Park Eun Bin plays Nam Eun Jung, the youngest daughter who has often clashed with her mother. This film, their first collaboration, is expected to emphasize subtle expressions and dialogue over grand events.
Additionally, Park Eun Bin is set to star in the drama 'Chilling Romance', based on the 2011 film starring Son Ye Jin. The drama reimagines the story with a chaebol heiress who sees ghosts and a passionate prosecutor who fears them. Expanded into 12 episodes, it will incorporate themes of growth, healing, and new incidents. Park Eun Bin is expected to showcase everyday emotional acting in 'Nam Eun Jung' and a new genre transformation in 'Chilling Romance'.
