Despite holding dual citizenship, Kevin Oh voluntarily enlisted in the military to further his music career in Korea and maintain a stable family life, a responsible decision that garnered support from many fans.

Kevin Oh enlisted in the 21st Infantry Division in December 2023 and was honorably discharged as a sergeant on June 17, 2025. During his service, he received an award from the division commander for his excellent performance in training and unit competitions, and was promoted to corporal two months earlier than scheduled. Notably, before his enlistment, he arranged for scheduled emails to be sent to Gong Hyo Jin every morning at 10 AM, expressing his affection.
