In Korea, actor Ahn Hyo Seop's collaboration with global R&B star Khalid on the new song 'Something Special' is generating significant buzz. This track emerged from 'FANDOM,' an innovative global music project formed through a partnership between Musicow and Roc Nation, and has garnered particular attention due to Ahn Hyo Seop's direct involvement in the songwriting.
'Something Special' was released on May 22, 2026, with RAINSTONE and R8DIO handling the production. Ahn Hyo Seop reportedly decided to join the project immediately after being deeply moved by the demo song, which he heard by chance during a drive along the Han River, without even knowing the collaborators or producers. He previously gained attention for singing 'Jinu's Lament' for the animation 'Kadehan'.
Bloggers have expressed strong impressions of Ahn Hyo Seop's backstory, where he was so moved by the demo during his Han River drive that he accepted the collaboration immediately. They commend his authentic participation and the song's high production quality, recommending it as an "unprecedented collaboration new song that will perfectly fill your empty emotions" for those tired of their usual playlists.
