In-depth Analysis of IU's New Song MVs: 'Love Wins All' and 'Dear my crazy soulmate'

With the release of IU's new digital single 'The Winning', there is significant interest in the music video interpretations for its double title tracks, 'Love Wins All' and 'Dear my crazy soulmate'. 'Love Wins All' garners attention for its sci-fi cosmic direction and profound narrative, while 'Dear my crazy soulmate' features actors Kim Young-ok and Na Moon-hee, depicting a friendship that transcends generations, leading to diverse interpretations among fans.

The music video for 'Love Wins All' tells a story of two individuals from different times and spaces connecting through a virtual video chat service called 'PLANET', only to be disconnected by its termination. This symbolizes not just a breakup, but the loss of the means that sustained their relationship, embodying both the meaning of separation and a cosmic space, as suggested by its ambiguous title. 'Dear my crazy soulmate', written by IU herself, is known to be dedicated to Yoo In-na, making it a prominent friendship anthem.

Bloggers expressed deep empathy for the ambiguous title of 'Love Wins All' and the desolation caused by the 'PLANET' service termination. They were also moved by the performances of the actors in the 'Dear my crazy soulmate' music video and IU's warm vocals. Comments highlighted how lyrics like 'Until the world gives up on us, my dream is for us to become strange grandmas together' resonated with authenticity.
