Kang Ha-neul and Cha Eun-woo's 'First Ride' Interview and Film Review

An interview video for the film 'First Ride,' starring Kang Ha-neul and Cha Eun-woo, has garnered significant attention. Cha Eun-woo expressed his deep admiration for Kang Ha-neul, calling him a "senior I've always loved" and describing him as a supportive hyung, friend, and senior who brightened the set. He also noted his existing close friendship with Kim Young-kwang from a past appearance on 'Law of the Jungle' and his positive first impression of Kang Yong-seok's cheerful personality.

'First Ride' is a comedy-drama road movie about four high school friends (Kang Ha-neul, Cha Eun-woo, Kim Young-kwang, Kang Yong-seok) who embark on a chaotic trip to Thailand's Songkran festival as adults. Directed by Nam Dae-joong, the film was released on October 29, 2025. Despite the star-studded cast, it only attracted 740,000 viewers, falling short of its break-even point of 1.6 million, with pre-release promotional articles contributing to negative public sentiment.

Audience ratings averaged 7.03, with many viewers finding it an enjoyable popcorn movie, particularly among female audiences. However, netizen ratings were lower at 5.39, indicating a polarizing reception. Some bloggers candidly described it as a "disappointing D-grade comedy that even the combination of Cha Eun-woo and Kang Ha-neul couldn't save."
