They also utilize employees' talents and experiences for activities like taking longevity photos for seniors, providing urban railway safety education, blood donation drives, and delivering sponsored goods, positively impacting the community. Additionally, Daegu Transit Corporation recruited a total of 152 new employees (Grade 9) in 2026, hiring for various positions such as administration, vehicle inspection, and vehicle operation through open and restricted competitions.
Daegu Transit Corporation achieved first place in the urban railway sector for three consecutive years in the 2026 local public enterprise management evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Interior and Safety. Although the overall grade was 'Na', it received the highest joint evaluation among the six urban railway operating agencies nationwide, alongside Seoul Transit Corporation. Key factors contributing to this positive evaluation included management innovation using AI (introduction of DTRO AI, Rail-GPT), achieving zero railway safety accidents for two consecutive years, and improving financial performance through new revenue streams and cost reductions.
