The Sokcho Eye Ferris Wheel is a prominent landmark situated in front of Sokcho Beach, offering a comprehensive view of the East Sea and Sokcho city. Standing at the height of a 22-story apartment building, this Ferris wheel has been a popular attraction since its opening in 2022, and despite recent discussions about its potential removal, it remains operational.
The Sokcho Eye Ferris Wheel features 36 cabins, each accommodating up to six people. A full rotation takes approximately 15 minutes, and operating hours are from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (ticket sales close at 7:30 PM). The adult fare is 12,000 KRW, and visitors can use the public parking lot at Sokcho Beach. Restrooms are available in the ticket office building, which is convenient to use before boarding.
Bloggers have highly praised the Sokcho Eye Ferris Wheel for its stunning views of the ocean, directly accessible from the beach. Many shared positive experiences of being able to board immediately without waiting, even on weekends, and appreciated the comfortable air conditioning inside the cabins. While some admitted to a fear of heights, they noted that the 15-minute ride passed quickly and described it as a unique and memorable experience to take in Sokcho Beach from above.
