Yongin Nongdowon Farm, established in 1973, is Korea's second certified dairy farm experience center, attracting many families with its diverse hands-on activities. Visitors can interact with cows and sheep in vast pastures and enjoy ecological experiences in a clean natural environment, offering children a unique opportunity. It is highly regarded as a top destination for families seeking weekend outings with children, often referred to as the 'Hermes of farms'.
The farm's experience programs include feeding calves, giving hay to sheep, milking, making ice cream, riding a tractor, and making cheese. The admission fee is 30,000 KRW for both adults and children, with one infant under 24 months admitted free when two or more adults register. Reservations for the following month open on the first day of each month at 9 AM. Due to high demand, the reservation system often experiences server issues, and popular dates sell out quickly, making it essential to be prepared or look for cancellation tickets.
Visitors are recommended to bring packed lunches (cup noodles are not allowed), water, picnic mats, camping chairs, tissues, trash bags, bubble wands, balls, kites, insect repellent, and spare clothes. Tips from visitors include moving to shaded areas immediately after the morning activities or securing a spot quickly after the tractor ride. While there are water purifiers on the farm, bringing water in a tumbler for use on the lawn or drinking the available groundwater is also an option.
