The Seoul Street Arts Festival 2026 is scheduled to take place for two days, from September 19th to 20th, at Ttukseom Hangang Park and Seoul Forest. This year, the festival utilizes the natural spaces of the Hangang River and Seoul Forest to present a variety of free performances and public participation programs, including street art, circus, dance, parades, and musicals. It is gaining attention as a prime destination for autumn weekend outings.
Among the festival's highlights is "Giraffes, Opera of Animals" by the French street art company Compagnie Off, featuring seven giant 8-meter-tall red giraffes. Other notable performances include the dreamlike "Clothesline" using white fabric and everyday objects, and "Pocket Juggling," a blend of juggling and comedy found in Seoul Forest. A total of 20 domestic and international works will be presented in 62 performances, running from 10 AM to 9 PM, with some programs requiring advance reservations.
Bloggers praise the festival's open spaces, allowing visitors to freely enjoy performances as they stroll, without fixed stages or seating. They note that children particularly enjoy the live performances, and the opportunity to experience various art forms makes it an excellent experience for families. Given the outdoor nature of the event, comfortable shoes and light snacks are recommended.
