The Lotte Mall Suji branch is currently hosting a 'France Louvre Baguette' pop-up store, attracting significant attention from visitors. This pop-up is gaining popularity for its unique concept, which combines traditional French bakery techniques with artistic design sensibilities, offering a diverse array of breads and desserts.
France Louvre Baguette is a brand created by bakery expert Jinju Park and designer Jessica Kim, utilizing premium ingredients such as Label Rouge certified French flour, French milk, and gourmet butter. The pop-up features classic bakery items like baguettes, croissants, kouign-amanns, egg tarts, and pastries, alongside trendy desserts such as fig sandwiches, marshmallow brownies, chewy breads (jjondeukppang), and limited-edition fruit yogurt chapssaltteok (mochi). The fruit-filled chapssaltteok, including strawberry, whole tangerine, and pineapple, as well as yogurt chapssaltteok, are particularly well-received by visitors.
Bloggers note that the entire pop-up space is decorated with French-inspired illustrations, drawing attention, and the visual display of breads piled high stimulates purchasing desire. Many commented on the extensive variety of breads, making it difficult to choose, and expressed positive feedback about the opportunity to try unique menu items not commonly found elsewhere. Some bloggers concluded that while the prices might be a bit high, the experience is worth it.
