Gian84's Journey from Webtoon Artist to Broadcaster: His Works and Activities

Gian84, who started his career as a webtoon artist, is now expanding his activities as a broadcaster and artist, drawing significant public attention. His past work as a webtoon artist and his current diverse roles are gaining interest, especially with the upcoming release of Netflix's variety show 'Daehwanjang Gianjang Season 2'.

Born Kim Hee-min in 1984, Gian84 debuted in 2008 with the webtoon 'Nobyeongga'. He later achieved widespread recognition with 'Fashion King' and 'Bokhakwang', which realistically depicted the lives and relationships of ordinary young people. 'Nobyeongga' explored the life of a conscripted policeman, 'Fashion King' delved into youth concerns about fashion and appearance, and 'Bokhakwang' covered college, employment, and social life, all showcasing Gian84's distinctive realistic portrayal.

His observational and expressive style as a webtoon artist later extended into broadcasting and art. He gained attention as a broadcaster by revealing his unadorned daily life on MBC's 'I Live Alone' and established a unique variety show persona through 'Born to Travel the World' and the 'Daehwanjang Gianjang' series. After winning the Grand Prize at the 2023 MBC Entertainment Awards, he solidified his position as a broadcaster and continues to hold solo exhibitions as an artist.
