IU Releases Pre-Release Tracks 'From This Star' and 'Dear My Crazy Soulmate' for 6th Full Album

IU has heightened anticipation among fans by pre-releasing two title tracks, 'From This Star' and 'Dear my crazy soulmate', ahead of her 6th full album. This pre-release marks an opportunity to preview the atmosphere of her first full album in approximately five years since 'LILAC' in 2021, with IU personally writing the lyrics for both songs.

The single 'From This Star' includes two tracks, both designated as title songs. Notably, 'Dear my crazy soulmate' has garnered attention as a song IU created for her 15-year close friend, actress Yoo In-na. Furthermore, her striking visual transformation, featuring short hair instead of long and a space suit concept, has drawn significant interest from fans, who are comparing it to her short hair during her 'Palette' activities in 2017.

Bloggers have commented that these pre-release tracks serve as an initial glimpse into the upcoming album's mood rather than revealing the entire album. They also found the staggered release strategy for the music videos intriguing, with 'Dear my crazy soulmate' released alongside the audio and 'From This Star' scheduled for release a few days later.
