The second round of applications for Taean's 'Half-Price Travel' program, organized by Taean County, is set to open on October 1st at 10 AM. This initiative is a pilot project for local love vacation support, allowing tourists from outside Taean to receive a partial refund in mobile Taean Sarang Gift Certificates for travel expenses incurred within the region. The first round was highly popular, with approximately 3,300 spots filled in just 15 minutes, indicating that the second round is also expected to close quickly.
The second pre-application period runs from October 1st at 10 AM to October 8th, with the eligible travel period from October 12th to November 8th. Applicants must be 19 years or older and reside outside Taean County. Pre-application and approval must be completed by 5 PM, three days before the start of the trip. General participants can receive a 50% refund of recognized travel expenses, while youth may receive up to 70%, with a maximum of 100,000 KRW per person (140,000 KRW for youth) and up to 500,000 KRW for families of 3-5. Applications are only accepted through the official website, and documents such as ID and resident registration certificates are required.
Bloggers emphasize the importance of an 'open run' for the second application, given how quickly the first round closed. For family trips, it is crucial to decide in advance who will apply as the representative and for how many people. They advise preparing all necessary documents beforehand to avoid delays on the application day. Prior registration for the local gift certificate 'Chak' app is also recommended to ensure a successful application.
