Kang Mina clarifies Gian84's proposal flirting was scripted for content, not real affection.

The relationship between webtoon artist and broadcaster Gian84 and actress Kang Mina recently garnered significant public attention. Their natural chemistry and Gian84's proposal-themed flirting on his YouTube channel 'Life84' led to misunderstandings about their actual romantic involvement. Gian84's direct expressions of interest, mentioning marriage and ideal types to Kang Mina, particularly became a hot topic.

Kang Mina clarified in an interview following the conclusion of the tvN drama 'Tomorrow's Work!' that Gian84's proposal flirting was scripted for content. She explained that the marriage concept and expressions of affection were pre-planned as a narrative build-up for a future 'Squid AI' setting. Despite their 15-year age difference (Gian84 born in '84, Kang Mina in '99), the two met multiple times, starting with the 'Kang Mina Came to Yeoju to Marry' episode on 'Life84', providing vicarious excitement to viewers.

Bloggers noted that the combination of Gian84's unique eccentric personality and Kang Mina's natural reactions created entertaining scenes. Although their relationship was not romantic, their playful banter and the broadcast concept fueled public curiosity, contributing to their sustained popularity. This also aligned with Gian84's success as an entertainer, further boosting his national appeal.
