SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan Prepares for Military Service as New JxJ Unit Debuts

SEVENTEEN is navigating a period of both new musical endeavors and members fulfilling their mandatory military service. While several members have already begun their duties, the group continues to engage fans with fresh content, notably the announcement of a new unit and the upcoming enlistment of key members.

Seungkwan, along with Dino, is scheduled to enlist as a military band member on October 26, 2026. Seungkwan is recognized for his main vocalist role in SEVENTEEN and his participation in the popular unit BSS (BooSeokSoon) with DK and Hoshi, as well as a duo unit with DK. Concurrently, Jeonghan and Joshua have formed a new unit, JxJ, set to release their first mini-album 'DREAMSCAPE' on October 19, 2026, which explores themes of unconscious fantasies and ideals. Other members like Vernon, DK, and Mingyu have already commenced their service, with Jeonghan having completed his social service.

Local bloggers emphasize that these diverse unit activities highlight the individual talents and versatility of SEVENTEEN members, ensuring continued fan engagement even amidst military hiatuses. Fans are encouraged to support the members through official online channels, as agencies have requested refraining from on-site visits during enlistment ceremonies. This period underscores the group's ongoing musical evolution and the strong bond among its members.
