The 2026 Seoul International Fireworks Festival will take place on Saturday, September 5th, around Yeouido Hangang Park. This festival, marking the beginning of autumn, is a major event in Korea, attracting millions annually. This year, the festival is scheduled approximately three weeks earlier than previous years, featuring spectacular fireworks displays from Korea, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
The festival runs from 13:00 to 21:00, with the main fireworks show lasting about 80 minutes, from 20:00 to 21:20. Tickets for the Nodeul Island Orange Play Zone range from 110,000 KRW to 220,000 KRW depending on the section, with an additional 3,000 KRW booking fee. The 'Orange Play' app allows attendees to listen to the fireworks music in real-time, even from distant viewing spots.
To fully enjoy the festival, securing a good viewing spot in advance is crucial. Yeouido Hangang Park and Ichon Hangang Park are traditional prime locations, but due to large crowds, Yeouinaru Station may bypass stops. Many new alternative viewing spots are also gaining popularity, so planning to arrive well before the fireworks begin is recommended for a more relaxed experience.
