Seo Kang-jun and Ahn Eun-jin's Drama 'You, Besides Me' Explores a Decade-Long Relationship

The KBS 2TV mini-series 'You, Besides Me,' starring Seo Kang-jun and Ahn Eun-jin, is generating varied responses to its initial narrative despite the actors' passionate performances. The evolving relationship and conflicts between Namgung Ho (Seo Kang-jun) and Lee Mi-do (Ahn Eun-jin), a couple together for ten years, are particularly capturing viewers' attention. The drama uses the symbolic motif of the first snow to illustrate both the beginning of their love and their current crisis.

The series depicts Namgung Ho and Lee Mi-do overcoming a breakup crisis and promising marriage, yet spending their anniversary with different people, hinting at future relationship complications. The drama has also gained international recognition, climbing to second place in the non-English series category on Amazon Prime Video's TOP10. The deep trust established between the two since childhood, coupled with Namgung Ho's seemingly perfect demeanor and Lee Mi-do's intricate emotional arc, forms the core narrative of the drama.

Bloggers have positively reviewed Seo Kang-jun and Ahn Eun-jin's natural chemistry and their portrayal of a decade-long relationship's emotions. However, some expressed disappointment regarding the narrative balance, noting that Namgung Ho's overly perfect depiction sometimes diminishes the credibility of Lee Mi-do's struggles. Despite these critiques, the actors' nuanced emotional performances have left a profound impression on viewers.
