2026 Pohang Haetteumyeon Noodle Festival: A Culinary Journey in Guryongpo

The 2026 Pohang Haetteumyeon Noodle Festival is scheduled to run for three days, from Friday, October 2nd, to Sunday, October 4th, at Guryongpo Ara Plaza and the Japanese House Street area in Nam-gu, Pohang-si. This culinary festival offers a chance to enjoy local Pohang noodles, unique noodle dishes from across Korea, and various stage performances amidst the cool autumn sea breeze, with free admission.

Attendees can savor local noodles rich with the flavors of Pohang's sea, such as Guryongpo Mori Guksu, Kkongchi Danggu Guksu (saury noodle soup), and Hongge Kalguksu (red snow crab noodle soup). The festival also features diverse noodle dishes from Korea and abroad, including Jeju Gogi Guksu (meat noodles), Busan Milmyeon (wheat noodles), Japanese Sanuki Udon, and Chinese Yangchun Mian. A smart QR ordering system is available to minimize waiting times, and a noodle-making experience with Jeil Noodle Factory is also offered.

During the festival, performances by singers like Jin Hae-sung (Oct 2) and girl group Secret (Oct 3), along with an EDM party (Oct 4), will provide diverse entertainment from day to night. Temporary parking spaces, including Guryongpo Port Pier parking lot, will be available, but public transportation is recommended during the holiday period.
