Kim Heechul's 'Geomji' Remark Sparks Girlfriend Rumors and Speculations

Kim Heechul was embroiled in girlfriend rumors following a remark by YoonA, "If you keep doing that, it's Geomji," during the Girls' Generation episode of JTBC's 'Knowing Bros'. His visibly flustered reaction at the time fueled public curiosity about who 'Geomji' might refer to.

According to blog posts, the clue 'Geomji' led to speculations that Kim Heechul's girlfriend could be Umji from GFRIEND, Hong Jin-young, or Son Dam-bi. Umji was considered due to the similarity in names, Hong Jin-young because of her song 'Thumbs Up' and 'Knowing Bros' appearance, and Son Dam-bi due to their close friendship and the 'Geomji' finger point in her 'Saturday Night' choreography. These speculations garnered significant public attention.

These rumors exemplify the high level of public interest and curiosity surrounding celebrity private lives. Bloggers noted that celebrity relationships are among the most entertaining gossip topics, with ongoing speculation that the 'Geomji' remark might refer to Kim Heechul's ex-girlfriend. This highlights how a minor on-air comment can generate substantial buzz.
