In Seoul, the "An-Young" media art exhibition featuring IVE members An Yujin and Jang Wonyoung has been generating buzz among K-pop fans and general audiences alike. This unique event moves beyond traditional idol fan activities like album releases or concerts, offering an immersive artistic experience that celebrates the two members in a new format. The exhibition's title, "An-Young," cleverly combines "An" from An Yujin and "Young" from Jang Wonyoung, while also signifying a greeting and well-wishing, making it a meaningful tribute to their bond and birthdays.
The exhibition, held at The Seouliteum in Seongsu-dong from September 5th to 27th, required advance ticketing via Melon Ticket, with no on-site sales. It featured various elements, including an orange-lit entrance corridor, diverse photos presented on acrylic materials, black and white portraits, and digital art installations. Visitors could engage with interactive zones, such as raising hands to experience scents or blowing on flowers to activate displays, alongside dedicated photo zones and areas with hand-written messages from the artists.
Bloggers noted the exhibition's sophisticated atmosphere, comparing it to a modern art gallery rather than a typical idol photo display, despite featuring many images similar to those found in photobooks. The audience included many families with elementary school children, reflecting IVE's broad appeal. Visitors highlighted the interactive elements and the overall unique experience, emphasizing that it was a worthwhile visit for IVE fans seeking a different way to connect with the members.
