The Songjiho Skywalk, a new landmark in Goseong, Gangwon Province, officially opened on September 5th, attracting numerous visitors. During its trial operation in May, over 110,000 people visited. It features a 631-meter-long ocean walkway that allows visitors to walk across the sea from the beach to the uninhabited Jukdo (Daeseom) Island.
The Songjiho Skywalk comprises a 631m ocean walkway, a 151m ocean skywalk, and a 270m Jukdo Island trail. Admission is 5,000 KRW for adults and 3,000 KRW for children, payable by card only. Operating hours for summer (April-October) are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (last entry 5:00 PM), and for winter (November-March) are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last entry 4:00 PM), with Mondays being a regular closing day. Parking directly in front of the skywalk is limited, so using the temporary parking lot near the entrance is recommended.
Bloggers highly recommend the Songjiho Skywalk, stating it is well worth the admission fee. They were impressed by the experience of walking over the ocean and the stunning natural scenery of Jukdo Island, including its unique rock formations, bamboo forests, and views of Ulsanbawi Rock in Seoraksan. Many found the transparent glass floor of the skywalk and the panoramic views from Jukdo's summit particularly memorable.
