The 33rd Busan Jagalchi Festival is scheduled to take place for four days, from Thursday, October 15, to Sunday, October 18, 2026, around Busan's Jagalchi Market and Yurari Square. As Busan's representative seafood festival, it is expected to attract many visitors eager to enjoy fresh seafood and the vibrant atmosphere unique to the market.
This year's festival goes beyond simple seafood viewing, offering a diverse range of experiential and performance programs. Key events include the opening ceremony, Jagalchi Yongsinje (Dragon God Ritual), free seafood tasting, bare-handed live fish catching, and the Golden Fish Treasure Island. Notably, the 4th Global University Song Festival finals are set for October 17, and a K-POP Dance Competition on October 16, providing special entertainment for music and performance enthusiasts.
Due to limited parking and potential traffic congestion around the festival venue, public transportation is recommended. Jagalchi Market is approximately a 5-minute walk from Exit 10 of Jagalchi Station on Busan Subway Line 1. Visitors can also take a bus and alight at Jagalchi Market, Chungmudong Intersection, or Nampo-dong bus stops. During the festival period, it is advisable to confirm prices and offerings when purchasing seafood or dining at restaurants.
