2026 Andong Salted Mackerel Food Festival: Taste and Excitement at Seobu Market

The '2026 Andong Salted Mackerel Food Festival' was successfully held for four days from September 17th to 20th, 2026, in the Andong Seobu Market area. This festival centered around Andong's representative delicacy, salted mackerel, creating a unique night market experience for visitors with a large outdoor dining area spanning approximately 250 meters in the middle of the market. The event, filled with abundant food and entertainment, attracted many people, harmonizing with the cool autumn evening weather.

At the festival, high-quality salted mackerel, weighing approximately 900g to 1kg per fish, was available, with market stalls collectively securing supplies to maintain consistent quality. On the main stage and a separate performance stage, various programs continued every night, starting with the opening ceremony, cultural performances, salted mackerel auctions, a local singing contest 'Our Neighborhood Heungbuja', guest singer performances, 7080 DJ sets, and Pumba performances. A salted mackerel character photo zone was also set up, adding to the enjoyment for families.
