The 2026 Taean Light Festival is a year-round night light festival held at Nature World in Nam-myeon, Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. From September 17 to November 1, 2026, it runs concurrently with the Taean Autumn Flower Expo, offering a unique opportunity to enjoy diverse autumn flowers during the day and a spectacular light festival in the evening. This event provides beautiful scenery both day and night for visitors to Taean's west coast as autumn deepens.
The vast grounds, equivalent to 14 soccer fields, are filled with autumn flowers such as chrysanthemums, verbenas, crape myrtles, and salvias. After sunset, millions of LED lights transform the flower fields into a garden of light. Admission is 10,000 KRW for adults and 8,000 KRW for youths and children, with free parking available. The daytime flower expo operates from 9 AM to 5 PM, while the night light festival illuminates after sunset until 10:30 PM. From September 30, the light festival's entry time will be moved up to 6:30 PM to align with earlier sunsets.
Bloggers recommend enjoying both a daytime stroll through the flower fields and an evening light spectacle. Popular photo spots include the large peacock sculpture and the red-roofed windmill, where many capture memorable photos. The area near the pond is noted for its fantastic night views as the lights reflect on the water. The well-maintained, flat walking paths ensure a relaxed viewing experience, making it suitable for a day trip or a 1-night, 2-day West Coast travel itinerary to experience its dual charm.
