SEVENTEEN's Mingyu Begins Social Service, Other Members' Enlistment Status

SEVENTEEN's military enlistment period is actively progressing in Korea, with member Mingyu having commenced his social service. This marks a significant phase for the group as multiple members fulfill their mandatory duties, leading to considerable attention from fans regarding their service types and schedules. Mingyu began his social service on September 10, 2026, following Vernon who started alternative service on August 20, and Dokyeom who enlisted for active duty on September 8. Pledis Entertainment confirmed there would be no separate official events for Mingyu's service start or training camp entry, requesting fans to refrain from visiting his workplace and to offer support online. Upcoming enlistments include Seungkwan and Dino, who are scheduled to join the army military band together on October 26. Not all 13 members are subject to Korean military service; foreign members Joshua, Jun, and The8 are exempt, and S.Coups received a Grade 5 classification due to a past injury.
